Bequeathing. The untold story.
Is it only me or does everybody think about his legacy .Here's the thing. Almost everyone is obsessed with leaving a mark upon the world. Let me call it Um,bequeathing a legacy. Outlasting death .We all want to be remembered. I do too C'mon, I want to bequeath my legacy here .yeah! Remembered, you know.
The problem is that the marks we leave are too often scars. You build a hideous minimal or start a coup or try to become a human rights activist so that maybe they can see how much yo care .You will say "they will remember me now;"
but
A. They don't remember you
B. You leave behind more stars.
You don't get choose if you get hurt in this world I know but you do have a say on what hurts you.
we all want to be remembered that's a fact no one should pretend he doesn't it's natural .We just don't know how to do so .
Remember: We just need to live our best life today coz;
There will come a time when all of us are dead, all of us. There will come a time no human beings will remain to remember that any of us ever existed or that any of our species ever did anything. No one will remain to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra Let alone YOU. Everything that we built and though and wrote(like I'm doing) and discovered will be forgotten and all of this, like seriously, will have been for naught.
Life Sucks, I know. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe its a million years from now, but even if we survive the collapse of the sun, WE WILLNOT SURVIVE FOREVER. There was a time before organisms experienced consciousness and there will be a time after.
Eventually no event is permanent. So live a life you can only remember coz it's not that there is a person sitted just waiting to remember your life. That person also has his life to remember. Avicii once sang “One day you'll leave this world behind so live a life you'll remember... these are the nights that never die.”. I get to understand the song every time I listen to it. You need to live a life, that in your last good days you'll say ”DAMN, I'VE REALLY LIVED LIFE.”
Make sure you have something to remember about your life in you last good days life might be short, but not short enough not to make memories.
